The best thing I've read on ComputerLand is Mike Swaine's chapter on it in Fire In The Valley. Ed Faber and the original owners of IMSAI founded ComputerLand. I knew Ed because he was the original Dealer Sales and Marketing honcho. They had some dealer policies that made MITS look like amateurs. There were lawsuits galore and much infighting among the founders and other startup personnel.
