A Tribute to Ray Borrill and the Data Domain

Boyd Raymond "Ray" Borrill, 75, of Bloomington
and formerly of Center Moriches, NY, died Tuesday at Bloomington Hospital.
Born June 10, 1931, in Minneapolis, MN, he was the son of Boyd and Mary
Borrill. Ray called himself a Pioneer Purveyor of Personal Processing
Power. He was a Computer Entrepreneur and Advisor and was the founder of
The Data Domain, the world's second personal computer store. He was also a
member of the Potunk Masonic Lodge #1071 in Westhampton, NY, and was a
veteran of the Army and Air Force, a member of Burton Woolery American
Legion Post #18 in Bloomington and attended St. Charles Borromeo Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Mary Borrill of Bloomington;
one son, David Borrill (Donna) of Center Moriches, NY; one daughter,
Jeanne Borrill-Vrabel (David) of Fort Wayne, IN; two grandchildren,
Brittney Borrill and Taylor Borrill; two sisters, Jean Paal of Anchorage,
AK, and Gaye Horn of Orsini, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jane Mary
Borrill (1986).
Services will be held on Thursday, September 28,
2006, at the Sinnickson Moriches Funeral Home in Center Moriches, NY.
